Mehndi or henna is a form of body art from Ancient India, in which decorative designs are created on a person's body, using a paste, created from the powdered dry leaves of the henna plant (Lawsonia inermis). Ancient in origin, mehndi is still a popular form of body art among the women of the Indian Subcontinent, Africa, and the Middle East.
Mehndi (aka henna) usually last for 1-4 weeks depending on how much an individual washes (scrubs, uses chemicals,how fast skin renews, etc) their hands. Having said that, it looks fresh about the first week, and then it begins to fade away. This mehndi is made out of all natural ingredients and does not consist of any chemical elements.
